meet me at the water

I had a chance to collaborate with Okyoung Noh on her multimedia installation, Flowing Violence (2024). Where does the violence flow? Through sound, poetry, and imagery, it reveals American imperialist violence in Asia and what it means to be submerged, carried, and ultimately silenced.

Working on this project pushed me to learn about Korean history which I know every little to none. I am grateful for this opportunity that pushed me as a poet. It has always been a goal of mine to be able to use poetry with sound and film.
