Kyunghee Kim is a Korean American immigrant, poet, writer, and educator. Her work focuses on loving and living in the complexities of loss, often exploring Asian diasporic experiences and the daily living.
Her essays have appeared in HuffPost, NPR Stateside, Shondaland, and others. Kyunghee has created and taught writing workshops and collaborates with artists.
Among many things, Kyunghee enjoys hiking, eating Korean food, rainy days, watching K-Drama, and dabbling on her lifestyle blog.
Kyunghee was born in South Korea, raised in a small town of Utica, Michigan, now lives in Ypsilanti, Michigan with her husband and sweet pup Rosemary. Her favorite title is being an emo (aunt).
